The Most Important Comics Tour
Arrives To GDL
The past weekend (Sat 27- Sun 28) the ConComics took place in Expo GDL placed between Av. Las Rosas and Mariano Otero, beginning each day around 11:00 am. and finishing about 8:00 pm.
There are many activities such as Autograph Sessions, Gamer Activities, Competitions, etc.
To enjoy it more you should understand the differences between these:
Cosplay: It's a representative art in which participant(s) use accessories and costumes representing a specific character or an idea. It comes from Costume Play .
Anime: Japanese animated productions, hand-drawn or computarized animation; it comes from the word Animation.
Manga: Japanese graphic novel, it could be of several subjects ( sexuality, superheros, etc)
Comics: Artistic medium that incorpores drawings and words to tell a story, they are usually divided in panels ( the whole thing).
Personal Opinion
I think this is a good esperience for those who enjoy reading comics and all this japanese creations, an d it's fun to dress up and see all the people there getting excited about the whole idea. Obviously if you are like these guys you will enjoy it for sure and be more than OK with everything that's going on there, but if you are an outsider it's more funny than fun, because usually we all tend to mock about something or someone when we don't know it or we don't agree with it. At first I was like -Whaaaat?- but without losing respect, but then I just stop caring.
I think there should only be legal stuff there, authentic merchandise!!! Theres a lot of piracy and bad copies of somethings and that ain't cool, specially if you are paying the entrance and hoping for the best.
I agree with you about liking all this you will enjoy it because i dont like it and i got bored too fast, but it was funny to see people dressed like that
