The Animatrix

Animatrix is a collection of several short films that detail the "Matrix" story, it's like the background because it shows the original war between humans and machines which leaded to the "Matrix" creation.

What I understood about the movie ( NOTE: I didn't see the whole thing) is that there is an obsession to perferctionate everything, to make it better and perfect, that's how the humans created robots an dto help with economy and stuff. But then there's a rebellion and the war begins. The robots wanted to be part of the human's world instead of being isolated in their own little world but this was not accepted by the Congress and they mistreated the robots so their hate towards us began and this is how they start to develop themselves, and adaptating their bodies and environment to their benefits and studied human complexity, which is really simple so they can use our weakness against us. 

The thing is that the movie represents a fake reality, that we live in. Supposedly we are connected to big pilars in our own bubble of reality, and these pilars are part from the robots world, so at the end they ended up dominating us. 

It's really interesting this theory and it is not completely crazy. I think each one has their own reality we live in.
